Strong foundation, not yet open for business
The look is right and 166 products are already loaded, which is the hard part. But online checkout is switched off, 47 products show S$1.00, Google doesn't return the site even for "Nahwood", and nothing is being measured. Most of these fixes are quick, and together they turn the site into a store.

Audit findings

01First impression & designGood base
✓ Working
Warm, calm, premium look: serif headings, interior-styled imagery, and a clear 15-tile "Discover Our Collection" grid. It fits the "refined homes" positioning.
✓ Working
Fast and mobile-safe. The homepage loads in about 2.6 seconds, with no sideways scrolling at phone width. A WhatsApp button is always visible.
⚠ Improve
The hero says only "NAHWOOD" with "View Gallery". It doesn't tell a visitor what you sell, or why buy from you.
Fix: "Solid teak furniture, made to your size, direct from our workshop" + "Shop now" / "Get a custom quote"
⚠ Improve
Imagery looks rendered or styled rather than photographed from your own pieces (to confirm with you). At S$1,500+ per piece, buyers want to see the real grain and joinery.
Fix: One workshop and product photo shoot; keep renders for room scenes
✗ Missing
The "EXCLUSIVE 15% OFF" banner has no code, link or terms, so it raises a question and gives no answer.
Fix: Link it to an email/WhatsApp sign-up that sends the code
02Commerce & orderingCritical
✓ Working
Product pages already have a price, a size selector, quantity, "Add to bag", "Chat on WhatsApp" and "You may also like". The structure is there.
✗ Missing
Checkout is switched off. Every "Add to bag" click shows "We can't accept online orders right now. Please contact us to complete your purchase." Any shopper ready to buy is turned away at the last step.
Fix: Connect HitPay or Stripe (PayNow, cards, Apple/Google Pay) Checkout-disabled popup on nahwood.com
✗ Missing
47 of 166 products are priced S$1.00. These are mostly beds, wardrobes, sofas and dining tables, the highest-value items in the range.
Fix: Price them, or switch them to "Request a quote"
✗ Missing
There is no deposit option, no delivery fee table, and no returns, warranty or custom-order policy. With 8–16 week lead times, buyers need to know what they're committing to.
Fix: 30–50% deposit at checkout + Delivery, Warranty and Returns pages
⚠ Improve
Lead time appears on only 73 products and contradicts the FAQ (8–12 vs 8–16 weeks). Variants cover size only; there's no wood or finish choice, even though the Services page offers four finishes.
Fix: One lead-time line everywhere + finish swatches as variants
⚠ Improve
Category pages have no filters. Castlery filters by material, size, price and lead time.
Fix: 4–5 filters (wood, size, price, ready vs made-to-order)
03Trust & brand storyWeak
✓ Working
A real advantage: "We are the direct manufacturer of solid teak wood furniture in Indonesia… we eliminate unnecessary middleman." Castlery can't make that claim.
⚠ Improve
That story is buried on the About page. There are no names, faces, workshop photos, year or timber-legality proof.
Fix: Homepage "From our workshop to your home" section + SVLK/FSC badge if held
✗ Missing
Template leftovers are still live. The Shop page reads "Hear what our clients say about teakaura". The Terms page contains "[Your Website Address]". There are four "My post content" blog posts and a "© 2024" footer.
Fix: One clean-up pass (about a day)
✗ Missing
There are only two testimonials, and their names change between pages (Lena/Lina Tan, Omar Khalid/Ali). There are no Google reviews.
Fix: Google Business Profile + ask past buyers for reviews with photos
✗ Missing
All four social icons point to facebook.com, instagram.com, linkedin.com and twitter.com, not to Nahwood's own pages. The footer says "follow our instagram page!", but there's nothing to follow.
Fix: Link @nahwood.sg; drop icons you don't use
⚠ Improve
The FAQ says "all furniture from premium teak", but products are named oak, walnut, bamboo and rattan. Buyers will notice the mismatch.
Fix: Decide teak-only, or add a "Materials" filter and honest labels
04SEO & visibility (incl. AI search)Absent
✓ Working
The sitemap exists (189 URLs), titles are unique per product, meta descriptions are written, and HTTPS works.
✗ Missing
The site doesn't appear in search for "Nahwood" or "Nahwood Singapore teak", or for "teak furniture Singapore", "solid wood furniture Singapore" or "teak dining table Singapore". Megafurniture.sg and editorial roundups (Teak Avenue, Journey East, Originals) take those spots. These are directional checks, not rank-tracker data.
Fix: GBP, schema, category copy, buying guides
✗ Missing
Category pages have no text that Google can read (products load by script). There's no Product, Breadcrumb, FAQ or LocalBusiness schema, and 30 of 58 homepage images have no alt text.
Fix: 150–300 words + FAQ per category; full JSON-LD; alt text
✗ Missing
There's no Google Business Profile, press, directory listing or review platform. AI assistants have nothing to quote when someone asks "where to buy solid teak furniture in Singapore".
Fix: GBP + 4–6 guides (teak vs oak, teak in humid SG, HDB-sized tables)
⚠ Improve
URLs are messy: /httpsnahwoodcomhttpsnahwoodcomhomepage, hashed slugs (-9d6b), duplicate product names and mixed SKU formats.
Fix: Clean slugs at migration with 301 redirects
05Tracking & marketingAbsent
✗ Missing
No Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel or TikTok pixel is installed. Visits, WhatsApp clicks and add-to-bags aren't measured, so the site's performance is unknown.
Fix: GA4 + GTM + Meta Pixel with WhatsApp-click and checkout events
✗ Missing
No ads are running (Meta Ad Library, Singapore, all-time: none). There's no email or WhatsApp capture, and no Facebook, LinkedIn or Google Business pages.
Fix: Set up tracking and checkout before spending on ads
✓ Working
The WhatsApp button has a smart pre-filled message asking for dimensions, pricing, finishes and lead time. It's a good lead tool that Castlery doesn't have.

Recommended services

Custom-built store & payments
Must Do
A store built around how Nahwood actually sells, rather than bending an off-the-shelf platform with plugins and apps. It includes made-to-order deposits, custom-size quotes, wood and finish options, filters, and HitPay or Stripe payments (PayNow, cards, Apple/Google Pay, Atome). A simple admin lets you manage products and orders. All 166 products move across with 301 redirects. Outcome: the site takes money.
Catalogue clean-up
Must Do
Price the 47 S$1 items or make them quote-only, remove duplicates, standardise SKUs, make materials honest, and add dimensions and teak-care blocks. This turns a template catalogue into one people trust.
Tracking setup
Must Do
GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel and Google Ads conversion tags, with events for WhatsApp clicks, quote requests and purchases. Every later marketing decision depends on this data.
Local SEO + content
High Priority
Google Business Profile, full schema, category copy with FAQs, and 4–6 buying guides on teak vs oak, teak in humid Singapore, HDB-sized dining tables and the custom-order process. Aim: own "Nahwood" first, then the solid-teak long tail.
Brand story & photography
High Priority
A workshop shoot, the partners on the About page, a homepage "maker-direct" section, and timber-legality proof. This is the point of difference against Castlery and Megafurniture.
Trade & hospitality page
Later Stage
A B2B page for designers, hotels and F&B fit-outs in Singapore and Dubai, with a project gallery and enquiry form. It builds on the boutique-hotel claim, once that client can be named.

Quick wins (this week)

1
Turn on payments, or hide "Add to bag"Until checkout works, switch the button to "Enquire on WhatsApp" so shoppers stop hitting the error message. About 30 minutes.
2
Fix the 47 S$1.00 pricesEnter real prices or "Price on request". S$1 on a wardrobe tells buyers the site isn't finished. A few hours.
3
Remove every "teakaura" and template lineShop reviews, contact meta, Terms, the four placeholder blog posts and the © 2024 footer. Half a day.
4
Point the social icons at real pagesLink @nahwood.sg and remove the rest until they exist. 10 minutes.
5
Create a Google Business Profile and install GA4This gets Nahwood showing for its own name and starts measuring traffic. About an hour each.
